Mother, Salome Williams Burns Her Two Children To Dêath In Kajiado, Kenya

In a devastating incident on Tuesday, two minors were tragically burnt beyond recognition in a house fire that authorities suspect was deliberately started by their mother. The fire, which broke out at approximately 2 pm, rapidly engulfed the entire structure due to its construction with iron sheets.

Concerned neighbors sprang into action, attempting to extinguish the flames using water, but their efforts were in vain. They managed to rescue the woman identified as Salome Williams, who was inside the house with her children.

According to a police report obtained by Citizen Digital, “People continued to battle the fierce fire using private water-bowsers and finally managed to put off the fire only to discover the bodies of the two children.”

The victims, aged 10 and two years old, were found lifeless within the charred remains of the home. Subsequently, their bodies were transferred to Kajiado Referral Hospital for preservation. Meanwhile, the mother, who sustained severe injuries, is currently recovering at the same medical facility.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the incident may have been triggered by domestic issues. The police report states, “The wife was said to have had a domestic quarrel with the husband over the phone for the last two weeks. The husband is alleged to have been cohabiting with another woman and he has been away for the last two weeks, calling to quarrel with the wife.”

Authorities are actively conducting further investigations to uncover more details surrounding the tragic event.
