A man accused of stealing a phone became the target of a vengeful mob. Captured on video, the accused thief was subjected to dehumanizing treatment by those who caught him red-handed.
The disturbing scene unfolded when residents apprehended the alleged thief, determined to extract both retribution and information from him.
In the widely circulated video footage, the accused man can be seen being forced to drink dirty water and endure harsh physical beatings.
The intent behind these acts was to pressure him into confessing the whereabouts of the stolen phone and revealing the person to whom he supposedly sold it.
