Messi Nominated For FIFA Best Player Awards

Football’s governing body named Messi and Aitana Bonmati as finalists for the FIFA Player of the Year award on Thursday.

Messi won a record eighth Ballon d’Or in Paris in October, while Bonmati won the women’s Ballon d’Or after winning the Women’s World Cup with Spain.

While Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe are the other candidates for the FIFA Men’s Player of the Year Award, Bonmati’s teammate from Spain Jenny Hermoso and young Colombian star Linda Kay Sedo are also on the women’s list.
