Maurizio Sarri, the former manager of Chelsea, is said to have quit from his position at Lazio following his team’s fourth consecutive loss against Udinese across all competitions.
According to reports, the club accepted his resignation because of his “complicated” relationship with president Claudio Lotito, and if things hadn’t improved subsequently, they “would have sacked him.”
According to the article, the club’s youth team manager, the great former player Tommaso Rocchi, and sports director Igli Tare are the front-runners to succeed Sarri.
After a 1-0 loss to AC Milan in March, Lazio’s difficult season came to an end with eight players. Tensions had escalated.
They were the first Serie A team since Palermo versus Bologna in 2012 to get three red cards in a single game.
After taking command of 137 games, Sarri joined Lazio in 2021 and finished with a 47.45% win percentage after winning 65, drawing 30, and losing 42.
