‘Marriage is for men and women, not boys and girls’ – Faith Oyedepo

Faith Oyedepo, the wife of the founding father of Living Faith Church, also known as winners chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo has called for the need of maturity before one should consider getting married.

In a post shared via her verified facebook handle, the wife of the Nigerian cleric stated that marriage is for men and women, not for young boys and girls.

Dwelling on the call for maturity before one should consider marriage, she noted that one must be spiritually, emotionally and physically sound.

She said, “Marriage is for men and women, not boys and girls.”

“There is a need for maturity before anyone starts planning for marriage. Maturity is not just in age, although it is part of it, it is maturity spiritually, emotionally, physically, etc. “

“If you are not mature enough to be a parent, then you are not mature enough for marriage.”

In other news, Faith Oyedepo had talked about how she saw blood flowing while pregnant with her first son and how her husband’s faith sustained the pregnancy.

She said,

“I remember when I was pregnant with our first son, one day I saw blood flowing from me, and when my husband returned home. I told him that I had a miscarriage. Boldly, and without any hesitation. He said, You can’t have a miscarriage!”, and then asked to be served his meal.

“That statement activated the spirit of faith and the pregnancy was sustained.”
