Erik ten Hag is now on Bayern Munich’s updated list of potential Thomas Tuchel successors, although he remains doggedly focused on Manchester United.
According to Sky Sports News, the Bundesliga’s biggest clubs have contacted Ten Hag’s agent Kees Vos to find out whether the Dutchman would be interested in taking over at the Allianz Arena.
The head coach of United has not held formal discussions with Bayern, but he has been informed of their interest.
Ten Hag informed his supporters that his only goal is to help the Old Trafford team, who are still hoping to win the FA Cup and earn European football, complete the season strong.
Bayern holds great regard for the 54-year-old, who has expressed confidence in staying at the club until the summer despite the uncertainty surrounding his status as INEOS makes significant changes to the football organization.
Bayern’s management believes that a number of off-field problems and a subpar operational setup at United have hindered Ten Hag’s coaching. More credit has been given to his work at Ajax and his first season in England than to the current injury-plagued campaign, which Ten Hag also had to navigate through a drawn-out takeover.
