Celebrity makeup artist Black Koko has ignited discussion online after speaking out against the hypocrisy faced by feminine men in society.
In a candid and emotional interview on the Clarity Zone Podcast, Black Koko described being verbally abused and shamed by his own community simply for his feminine expression. He stated that many young, feminine boys are consistently bullied, branded as “bad eggs,” or treated as though they are “possessed,” despite being guilty of nothing.
He further alleged a stark double standard, where the same individuals who publicly ridicule and stigmatise feminine men often secretly engage with them socially or exploit them in private settings.
Drawing on his insider experience within the entertainment industry, Black Koko claimed to have encountered numerous prominent personalities at private gatherings whose public personas starkly contrast with their private behaviour.
“I got tired of pretending,” he stated, explaining that his decision to live openly came from witnessing the widespread phenomenon of people concealing their true selves publicly while living differently behind closed doors.
