Lionel Andreas Messi, the Argentina World champion’s post on Instagram platform after he led his country to win the 2022 World Cup, has become the most popular image on the photo-sharing platform.
The first image on the album was that of football star lifting the World Cup after Argentina crushed France after the heated game that ended in Favour of Argentina in the penalty shootout in Sunday World Cup final. The post has garnered over 57 million likes on Instagram platform as of today, Tuesday. He shared the post on Sunday.
The platform CEO, Mark Zuckerberg also confirmed the development and achievement via a post he shared via his handle today, Tuesday.
Mark said, “Leo Messi’s World Cup post is now the most liked in Instagram history. WhatsApp also reached a record 25 million messages per second during the final.”
The last most liked photo on the Instagram platform record was held by the photo of an egg, which had over 56 million likes.
