Lere Olayinka, a ex media aide to a former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Peter Fayose, has slammed the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, for allowing a traditional ruler to squat to speak to him at a public event in Lagos state.
The video, which went making round on Tuesday, 28th of May, 2024 showed that the governor and the monarch, Oba Fatai Akamo, the Olu of Itori, in the Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, met at a public event in Lagos.
In the video, the monarch was filmed squatting to speak to the state governor.
Olayinka, who deemed the act as disrespectful, expressed his disapproval via his X social media handle, writing,
“Kábíyèsí, Orí Adé, Ọrùn Ìlẹ̀kẹ̀, kneeling to talk to the Imperial Majesty, Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Governor of Ogun State.
