Akintola Alima, 40, has been taken into custody by the Lagos state police on charges of breaking into a school in the Ijegun area and kidnapping three students on Monday, March 11.
Police sources claim that at about 3:30 pm, Alima and other members of her gang broke into the school and kidnapped the three students. After receiving a tip, the police started a furious pursuit of the abductors.
Alima was being arrested after the three pre-nursery students she kidnapped were freed from her. Since then, she has been placed under custody, and her accomplices have made off with an unregistered motorbike.
The families and the victims, Mustapha, 6, Sofiat, 4, and Isreal, 5, have been reunited.
The suspect is being held by the police while her accomplices are being sought for and apprehended. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
