Lagos Governor Sanwo-Olu Denies Rift with Ogun’s Governor Abiodun

The Lagos State Government has issued a strong denial of online reports suggesting a conflict between Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, labeling the claims as false and misleading.

In an official statement, the government asserted that the relationship between the two leaders is “cordial and brotherly,” directly contradicting the narrative of discord. The statement emphasized that Governors Sanwo-Olu and Abiodun meet regularly and maintain constant communication, particularly on matters of mutual interest concerning the development of their neighboring states.

Highlighting the close geographical and socio-cultural ties between Lagos and Ogun, the government urged purveyors of misinformation to stop spreading content that could create unnecessary tension. It stressed that both governors remain united in their shared commitment to improving the welfare and prosperity of their citizens.
