Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, met with President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja on Thursday to update him on the security crisis in Woro community following this week’s deadly attack.
The governor travelled directly to the Presidential Villa after spending the night in Woro, where he assessed the impact of the violence and consulted with local residents and security personnel.
Following the meeting, the Kwara State Government issued a statement reiterating its commitment to ramping up security measures in the affected region. The administration vowed to sustain a forceful crackdown on terrorist groups active within the state.
Authorities confirmed that security forces have already initiated an extensive manhunt for the perpetrators and their bases. They stressed the government’s unwavering dedication to re-establishing peace and ensuring the safety of all citizens and their property.
Residents have been called upon to stay calm and alert, and to fully cooperate with security agencies by providing reliable information to aid the ongoing counter-terrorism operations.
