Kogi State is in mourning following the deaths of three prominent members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). The deceased are Hon. Onojah James Ignatius, Hon. Jatto Onimisi Suleiman, and Alhaji Alih Atabo.
The Kogi State Government confirmed their passing in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo. He described the three men as dedicated public servants who made significant contributions to both the state and the party.
The commissioner highlighted their individual legacies: Onojah James Ignatius was noted as a seasoned grassroots mobilizer and administrator; Jatto Onimisi Suleiman was praised for his humility and diligence in public service; and Alhaji Alih Atabo was recognized as a devoted party stalwart instrumental in fostering APC’s growth and unity at the local level.
On behalf of Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the state government, and the people of Kogi, Commissioner Fanwo extended heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, and political associates of the deceased, as well as to the communities of Igalamela, Okene, and Dekina that they served. He commended the lasting legacy of dedication and sacrifice left by the three leaders.
