One Kano State Commissioner for Higher Education, Yusuf Kofar-Mata, has lost three of his family members to a fire outbreak that razed his residence at Kofar-Mata quarters in Kano.
According to reports gathered, the fire broke out while members of the family were asleep, resulting in the loss of many valuables.
The commissioner confirmed his relatives’ death in a post on his Facebook page on Wednesday, 17th of July, 2024.
He wrote:
“To Allah, we belong and to Him, we shall return!
“May God grant my daughter Maimuna (Islam), my sister whom I follow, Hajiya Khadija and my elder brother’s wife, Juwariyya, death.
“Their burial will take place today, around 11 am (11.00 am), at Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Mosque in Kofarmata. May Allah have mercy on them, and forgive them, Amen O Lord.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>
