Remi Tinubu has criticized the kidnappers for their recent abduction of students and women, referring to them as animals and cowards.
Describing the perpetrators as animals and cowards, Oluremi Tinubu, Nigeria’s First Lady expressed her critique of the recent abduction of women and children in Borno and Kaduna States.
It was gathered that Boko Haram militants had earlier abducted approximately 200 women in the Gamboru-Ngala and Dikwa regions of Borno State.
It was reported that the women, who were internally displaced persons, had been abducted while gathering firewood in the bush.
Shortly thereafter, presumed bandits abducted more than 280 students and educators from Government Secondary School and LEA Primary School in Kuriga, located within Kaduna State.
According to reports, armed bandits attacked the Kuriga region in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State yesterday. They opened fire at those present and abducted a total of 280 pupils and teachers from both schools.
The occurrence has sparked apprehension over the constant abduction and murder of blameless civilians in the nation.
Responding to the progress, the wife of President Bola Tinubu advocated for capital punishment upon conviction and sentencing of those responsible.
On Friday, while responding to queries from reporters, the First Lady asserted as reported by FRESHREPORTERS NEWS.
The person who is abducting young individuals exhibits sickness, cruelty and cowardice.
I urge the state governors to recognize that when we apprehend these individuals, they should receive a sentence of capital punishment – enough is enough.
Why aren’t they accommodating people of similar size? Why are our children being subjected to torture? Their intentions seem to be aimed at destroying our future.
Tinubu stated that as we age, parents depend on their children to assure them that the sacrifices they made were not in vain, particularly when those offspring achieve success.
Taking children from schools is unjustifiable. It’s time to put an end to it. Having served in the legislature, I firmly uphold that those responsible for such actions should face death penalty without exception.
We must eradicate these kidnappers from our society as they are nothing but barbaric creatures, embodying pure evil.
