The Niger Republic, Mali, and Guinea will no longer be subject to certain penalties, as decided by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
The decision was adopted on Saturday in Abuja during the extraordinary summit on the political, security, and peace conditions in the ECOWAS subregion.
The regional group dropped some financial and economic penalties on Guinea and some targeted sanctions against Mali, but maintained that the targeted and political sanctions against the Niger Republic will remain in place. [CONTINUE READING HERE [
