The impeached Speaker of the Ogun state house of Assembly Hon. Kunle Oluomo, announced on Friday night that he still holds the position.
Hon. Oludaisi Elemide was elected to succeed Oluomo, who represented Ifo State Constituency 1, after 18 members removed him from office on Tuesday on grounds of misconduct.
However, Oluomo broke his silence on the impeachment saga, declaring action of the 18 lawmakers “unconstitutional, null, void and of no effect whatsoever.”
The troubled Oluomo revealed he has petitioned the court for a decision on the subject during a Friday press conference at his Legislative Quarters home in Ibara GRA Abeokuta. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
