The Emir of Kazaure and Jigawa Amirul Hajj, Dr. Najib Hussaini Adamu, has announced that 930 state pilgrims will each receive a refund of ₦42,996 from their Hadaya (animal sacrifice) payment.
The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board successfully recovered ₦31.14 million from the Hadaya company for the pilgrims and refunded ₦24.01 million unused operational funds to the state treasury.
The Amirul Hajj noted, however, that the 2025 exercise was challenged by the absence of a permanent Hajj camp and the loss of one pilgrim.
Governor Umar Namadi commended the transparency of the Hajj delegation and assured that his administration will build a permanent Hajj camp to improve future pilgrimages.
