Jazz Singer Bobby Caldwell dies at 71, Wife, Mary Reveals

Bobby Caldwell, a Jazz Singer who composed the double-platinum record ‘What You Won’t Do for Love’, has passed away.

He died at age 71.

The singer’s wife, Mary Caldwell, disclosed the bad news that he died in his home in New Jersey on Tuesday evening after battling with an illness for several years.

The wife in a statement she issued out on his passing took to the singer’s verified Twitter handle on Wednesday.

Sharing the news of his death, she said, “Bobby passed away here at home. I held him tight in my arms as he left us. I am forever heartbroken. Thanks to all of you for your many prayers over the years.
