The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has further extended the Direct Entry (DE) registration period for 2024 till April 25.
The news was verified by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in a statement on Tuesday.
Prior to this, JAMB had set a deadline of March 28 for DE registration, which started on February 28.
The deadline was later extended by the board till April 11.
However, the board announced on Tuesday that it has now further extended the deadline to April 25 in an X post.
According to JAMB, the most recent extension was required to accommodate applicants who had indicated their desire to register for the exam but were unable to do so due to “some compelling realities.”
Additionally, it explained that the deadline was moved because new policies were put in place to stop “infractions discovered in the DE component of the admission value chain.”
“The general public is invited to note the iron-clad determination of the board to safeguard its systems from threats from whatever quarters, while ensuring that candidates with genuine credentials are given the opportunity to register for the DE exercise,” it added.
“Candidates with questionable credentials are urged in their own interest to stay away from the registration venues as the various measures put in place by the Board are guaranteed to fish out holders of forged or fake certificates for apprehension and prosecution.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]
