The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has warned Nigerians against purchasing transformers, cables and poles, as it is the responsibility of the distribution companies (DisCos) to provide them.
In a terse post on Saturday, 26th of October , 2024, NERC asked consumers to report distribution companies (DisCos) that refuse to provide cables and transformers.
The statement reads:
“It is the duty of your DisCo to provide transformers, cables and poles.
