The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has expressed concerns about President Bola Tinubu’s lack of interest in restoring the country’s refineries.
Mr. Joseph Obele, the IPMAN Chairman in Rivers State, believes that the President’s plans are not addressing the nation’s economic issues effectively.
Obele points out that Nigeria will continue to suffer from pain and hardship unless President Tinubu takes decisive action to fix the refineries.
This criticism comes after President Tinubu’s recent nationwide broadcast, where he mentioned allocating funds for various palliatives, student loans, and free buses, while also saving over N1 trillion from subsidy removal in just one month.
IPMAN Chairman questions why the President and his team are not prioritizing significant investments in refurbishing the country’s refineries and resolving subsidy-related problems.
