Increasing Rate Of Attacks By Hoodlums Causes Dread Among Katsina Residents

The increasing rate of attacks by hoodlums has caused dread among residents of Katsina State due to rising cases of phone snatching.

Residents are now forced to be watchful of their surroundings and limit their movement to avoid crime hotspots where miscreants usually hang around looking for potential victims. These hoodlums operate in major cities, sometimes using tricycles to carry out attacks, and have left several victims with various degrees of injuries.

There have been several instances of people posting comments on social media about the widespread attacks and calling on the authorities to take measures to end the criminalise.

In response, the Katsina State Police Command has assured residents that it would deal with the menace in the state and use all available powers to protect their property and lives.

According to the police spokesman, any violent act would certainly attract the same, and they would use all available powers, including the use of lethal weapons, in protecting the good people of the state. The police have been fully briefed to deal decisively with any armed robbery gang found terrorizing the state.
