The Lead British International School student who was seen on tape harassing another student—names withheld—has expressed regret.
A video in which Hassan apologized profusely and said she wishes the entire incident had never occurred has surfaced online.
Speaking in the video, Hassan said, “I am very sorry for what I did to Namtira. I am also apologising to you all out there. I am sincerely sorry. I wish it never happened.”
The management of the school said that it had opened an investigation into the occurrence in a public statement.
A “thorough inquiry” into the situation has been conducted by a specialized team at LBIS, and an investigation has been launched by the school, according to a statement signed by Abraham Ogunkanmbi, the Head of the School.
According to Mr. Ogunakanmbi, the team is presently compiling data, which includes examining the camera footage and speaking with witnesses, in order to comprehend the entire extent of the event and pinpoint the nearby and distant causes. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
