Online outrage has been triggered by videos showing female students at Lead British School in Abuja harassing a female student.
Videos that have been circulated online show female students assaulting another student named Namtira while they were wearing their school uniforms.
“What’s the boy’s name?” they questioned, slapping her on both cheeks as they approached her.
In a another video, Maryam, one of the bullies, is seen repeatedly asking, “Who broke my heart?” while slapping Namtira.
She then gave Namtira the warning, “don’t touch my hand,” as she attempted to shield herself from the slaps.
Namtira then gave up attempting to halt the slaps and accepted them with composure.
As they approached Namtira, students in the background can be heard accusing her of having “snatched” someone.
Namtira Bwala, who is said to be author Daniel Bwala’s daughter, did not strike back when they struck her.
