Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has been challenged by Dr. Samuel Nwanosike, the Chairman of the Ikwerre Local Government Area, to sack him from office on June 16th.
In a video, Nwanosike addressed the state governor personally and declared his plan to stay in office over the deadline.
He used the inability of the state administration to hold local government elections as grounds for the extension of term of state parliamentarians led by Martin Amaghule.
Nwanosike said he would stay in his position and issued a warning, saying the people of Ikwerre LG would not allow anybody to force him out of it. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
