Former US President Donald Trump has compared himself to Nelson Mandela, the anti-apartheid hero of South Africa.
Trump said this while charging Judge Juan Merchan of violating both the law and his rights to free speech and expression.
The Republican presidential candidate faces charges in four distinct criminal counts.
The 77-year-old real estate tycoon may wind himself behind bars as a result of the lawsuits.
In one of those instances, he was charged with providing hush money to a former porn star before to the 2016 presidential election, which he won over Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee.
However, taking to his Truth Social platform, on Saturday, Trump wrote:
“If this Partisan Hack wants to put me in the ‘clink’ for speaking the open and obvious TRUTH, I will gladly become a Modern Day Nelson Mandela – It will be my GREAT HONOR.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]
