Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has strongly criticised former Vice President Atiku Abubakar following his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday.
In an interview on Channels TV, Olayinka asserted that Atiku is “obsessed with becoming the president.”
Reacting to the news of Atiku’s departure from the PDP, he declared it a case of “good riddance to bad rubbish,” further alleging that the former vice president was responsible for destroying the political party.
Olayinka said:
“The only thing that interests Atiku Abubakar is to become Nigeria’s president. I’m beginning to wonder whether a doctor prescribed ‘presidency’ for him, and if he doesn’t become president, something will happen to him.
“Good riddance to bad rubbish. Today, the PDP has been so destroyed and damaged by this one man, Atiku Abubakar, who is now gone.”
