Arne Slot, 45, the coach of Feyenoord, confirmed on Thursday the rumors that he was considering a transfer to Liverpool. He has already informed the Dutch team that he wishes to depart.
“I want to be Liverpool’s next manager, my decision is clear. Feyenoord and Liverpool are in talks to negotiate, I’m waiting for what comes of it. I’m confident, waiting for the clubs to reach an understanding,” Slot told ESPN.
Jurgen Klopp, 56, will leave his position as manager of Liverpool at the end of the current campaign, and a number of names have been connected to the position recently. The Dutch coach and sporting coach Ruben Amorim, both 39, are considered strong favorites.
Slot made these shocking remarks right before he entered the field for Feyenoord’s match against the Go Ahead Eagles, and right after PSV had all but sealed the championship. It appears like Slot has already made his decision. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
