I Never Knew He Is So Intelligent – Labour Party Rep Member, Godwin Amobi Ogar Praises Tinubu

Labour Party House of Representatives member-elect, Godwin Amobi Ogar, has praised President Bola Tinubu, expressing his surprise at Tinubu’s intelligence and dedication to serving Nigeria.

Amobi, elected from Abia State, made these comments during an interview with reporters following a meeting between federal lawmakers-elect and Tinubu at the State House. The meeting aimed to address the ongoing leadership crisis in the National Assembly.

Amobi’s remarks can be seen as a subtle denouncement of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of his own party, who is currently challenging Tinubu’s victory at the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja.

Earlier, Tinubu had met with lawmakers-elect from opposition parties to discuss the escalating leadership tussle. Senators-elect and House of Representatives members-elect from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), and other opposition parties attended the meeting at the State House in Abuja.

Amobi, speaking to journalists after the meeting, expressed his elation, describing it as his best day. He emphasized his newfound admiration for President Tinubu, highlighting his intelligence, love for the country, character, charisma, and belief in Nigeria’s potential for greatness.

He also indicated that the focus should be on building a better nation and promoting national unity, irrespective of party affiliations. Amobi mentioned that despite being a member of the Labour Party, he and others had agreed to support the government’s decisions.
