Hoodlums allegedly attacked Philip Agbese, a lawmaker from the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency and the deputy spokesman for the House of Representatives.
The legislator was reportedly attacked on Thursday, April 4, while doing a constituency engagement in Igumale, the Ado Local Government area headquarters in Benue State.
The community’s residents said that as Agbese was celebrating Easter with his constituents, young people brandishing hazardous weapons like as clubs, knives, and cutlasses broke up the festivities.
Agbese was taken away by security guards, rumored to have barely escaped unharmed.
Security services have taken several of the thugs into custody, and an inquiry has been launched. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
