One of the biggest Hollywood icons Arnold Schwarzenegger has been detained and investigated at Munich Airport “under tax law” for an unlicensed diamond watch on auction.
According to BILD, The Terminator actor has been captured on camera with customs officers after leaving from Los Angeles and was questioned at the airport for hours.
Arnold, an Austrian-American dual citizen who lives in New York City was travelling to a climate charity auction in Kitzbühel Austria where he planned on selling off a limited edition Audemars Piguet timepiece.
Thomas Meister, a spokesperson for the Munich Main Customs Office, announced that criminal proceedings under tax law were launched and the watch should have been recorded because it was an import.
A spokesman from customs stated regardless of your name whether it is Schwarzenegger or Müller, Meier, Huber the products entering into the EU have to be declared through custom.
The film actor is currently with the customs agents performing luggage searches, hoping that he will be allowed to continue his trip after this final check. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
