In a tragic incident, a helicopter crashed in the Oba Akran area of Ikeja, Lagos State.
The Spokesman for the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), Tunji Oketunbi, confirmed the unfortunate development to our correspondent on Tuesday afternoon.
According to an official of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the chopper burst into flames upon impact.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) stated that two individuals were onboard the ill-fated helicopter. NEMA Zonal Coordinator for South-West, Ibrahim Farinloye, conveyed on the Agency’s official WhatsApp platform that both men were successfully rescued alive. However, the identity of the helicopter’s operator remains unknown.
First responders from NEMA, LASEMA, and investigators from the NSIB have swiftly arrived at the crash site to assess the situation and conduct further investigations. (CONTINUE READING HERE)
