One Nigerian man, Babajide Isreal Adebanjo, has set a new Guinness World Record, GWR for the longest twerking duration.
Adebanjo achieved this feat in Lagos on 14th of January, 2024, by twerking for 3 hours and 30 minutes.
The Guinness World Records announced the achievement on their official website, stating,

The previous record was held by Elena Sofie Sterlini, an Austrian who twerked for 2 hours and 1 minute on January 3, 2023. Sofie aimed to break the record as a personal achievement.

The event, hosted by the Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard Merchants & Business Association, celebrated the area’s cultural traditions and supported local businesses and non-profits, with Big Freedia leading the record attempt.
