A traffic warden of the Anambra Road Traffic Management Agency (ARTMA) in the state capital of Awka was slain by some as-yet-unidentified gunmen on Thursday morning.
According to a trustworthy source, the shooters in a Toyota Sienna with tinted glasses killed the ARTMA officer in the blink of an eye.
According to the source, the traffic warden pulled over a car and began questioning the occupants when one of them pulled out a gun and shot him in the head. The car then quickly took off, sending nearby residents running for cover.
The ARTMA officer’s killers, according to the source, may be cultists. She also mentioned the death of another person on Wednesday at the SU Junction in the Ifite area of Awka, whose name she could identify.
