Governor Aiyedatiwa presents N655b 2025 budget proposal to Ondo Assembly

The Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has presented a budget proposal of N655.230b for the year 2025 to the State House of Assembly, with a clear focus on addressing socio-economic challenges and ensuring prosperity for the people of the state.

The budget, which is themed ‘Budget of Recovery’ was presented yesterday.

The budget breakdown reveals that N406.307 billion is earmarked for capital expenditure making up 62.01% and N248.923 billion earmarked for recurrent expenditure amounting to 37.99% of the total budget.

This was disclosed in a post on the Governor’s official X handle on Wednesday, 11th of December 2024.

It reads:

“Yesterday, I presented the Ondo State’s 2025 budget, christened “Budget of Recovery” to the Ondo State House of Assembly.

“The proposed budget aimed at addressing socio-economic challenges and ensuring prosperity for the people, totals N655.230 billion with capital expenditure of N406.307 billion making up 62.01% and recurrent expenditure of N248.923 billion amounting to 37.99% of the total budget.

“I reiterated our administration’s commitment to completing ongoing projects and fostering a more prosperous future for Ondo State, with the 2025 budget serving as a critical tool.
