The Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has received the Director-General of the National Commission for Museums and Monuments (NCMM), Olugbile Holloway, and members of the Commission’s senior management team at the State House, Marina.
The visit focused on strengthening collaboration between Lagos State and the NCMM in preserving Nigeria’s cultural heritage.
In a statement shared on the governor’s official X handle, Sanwo-Olu emphasised the importance of historical preservation and Lagos’ central role in the effort.
The statement reads:
“I received the DG of the National Commission for Museums and Monuments, Mr. Olugbile Holloway, and his senior management team at Lagos House, Marina today.
“We had a conversation about preserving our rich cultural heritage and how Lagos can continue to play a key role in that effort. Our history matters, and I’m glad we’re building stronger partnerships to protect it.”
