Gombe Woman Allegedly Poïsoned to Dèath by Co-Wife

A woman identified as Fauziyya has reportedly died from poisoning in Gombe city, in an incident allegedly orchestrated by her co-wife.

The tragedy occurred in the Riyal Anti Kalare area of Gombe metropolis, sending shockwaves through the local community.

According to a local source, Ismail Abubakar Maisalati, the act was allegedly motivated by intense jealousy and rivalry between the two wives over their shared husband. The suspect is accused of secretly adding a poisonous local substance, known as “Gidigam,” into Fauziyya’s food.

Unaware of the contamination, Fauziyya is said to have eaten the meal, fallen violently ill, and subsequently died.

Eyewitnesses and community members indicated that tensions had been simmering between the two women for a significant period, with their competition for the husband’s attention and affection becoming increasingly hostile.
