A fire broke out on Thursday at the General Hospital in Ifako-Ijaiye, Lagos.
The fire engulfs parts of the facility’s three-storey building and causing widespread panic among residents and hospital visitors.
Videos shared on social media showed thick smoke billowing from the hospital, with onlookers calling for urgent assistance.
One Facebook user, Modinat Melemuku, posted footage from the scene and appealed for help, writing: “Happening now at General Hospital Ifako-Ijaiye, College Road. Please repost. Help is needed.”
Eyewitnesses feared that nursing mothers and their babies could be trapped inside the building, although no casualties had been confirmed as of the time of this report. [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>
