Tinuade Ladoja, wife of former Oyo State governor and Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Ladoja, has passed away at 71. She took her final breath on Monday morning after a short illness.
Breaking the sad news, Adeola Oloko, the media aide to the ex-governor, spoke with PUNCH Online over the phone from Ibadan, the state’s capital.
“Yes, it is confirmed. She is dead. May God repose her soul,” Oloko said simply.
Before her passing, Tinuade was a well-known and respected figure in the Celestial Church of Christ. She played an important role as a member of the Pastor-in-Council, the church’s high decision-making body.
Her dedication and service to the church left a lasting impression on many. The CCC Ikeja Parish 1 Cathedral, where she worshipped faithfully, also expressed its grief. In a touching post on Facebook, the parish paid tribute to their beloved member.
“It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
“We submit to His will. #farewell,” the church wrote, honoring her memory.
