“Forget Biafra, Tinubu Has Given Ndigbo What Agitation Couldn’t” — Umahi

The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has called on the Igbo people to set aside renewed calls for Biafra, arguing that the root cause of the agitation was exclusion and neglect, not a true desire to secede from Nigeria.

Speaking during an inspection of federal road projects in the South-East, Umahi stated that President Bola Tinubu’s administration has directly addressed these grievances through significant inclusion, key federal appointments, and major infrastructure development in the region.

He asserted that with the Igbo now visibly represented at the center and benefiting from ongoing projects, the feeling of marginalization is fading, and the fundamental basis for the separatist movement is losing ground.
