The first group of intending pilgrims from Ogun State has arrived safely in Medina, Saudi Arabia, for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.
The pilgrims landed at Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport at exactly 12:45 a.m., after departing from Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at around 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Speaking before their departure, the Amir Hajj, Alhaji Samsudeen Apelogun, Consultant to the Governor on Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Iskeel Lawal Sugar, and the Executive Secretary of the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ajibola Taiwo, expressed gratitude to Governor Dapo Abiodun for his continued support of the Hajj operations.
Apelogun advised the pilgrims to exhibit discipline, humility, and a high sense of responsibility throughout their spiritual journey, reminding them that they are not only representing Ogun State, but also serving as ambassadors of Islam and Nigeria at large. [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>
