Olubodun Sanni, a 21-year-old Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba (AAUA) final year student, has been arrested in connection with the suspected murder of Miss Adekunle Adebisi Ifeoluwa.
The body of Miss Adekunle, who was a 300 level student in the Department of Economics was found on February 2, 2024, in her one-room apartment located outside the school premises.
It was claimed that Sanni killed his victim with a knife and took her iPhone XR.
Speaking while presenting a few suspects, Abayomi Peter Oladipo, the commissioner of Ondo police, stated that following the murder, the police found the deceased phone missing.
Abayomi stated that the police through the use of modern technology traced the phone to 21-year-old Sanni who is also a neighbour to the deceased in the hostel.
He said: “The recovered phone led to further questioning of the suspect who gave details of what happened in his confessional statement.”
He said Sanni would be charged to court at the end of the investigation. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
