Father Attempt To Use Son For Money Ritual In Other To Provide For Other Children

A 50-year-old farmer from Benin, Poni Bada, has been apprehended by police operatives in Ogun State for an alleged attempt to sacrifice his 9-year-old son for money rituals.

The shocking incident came to light when Bada was caught in the company of three other men, identified as Ige Koselu, Benjamin Balovi, and Segun Shile, who were believed to be accomplices in the sinister act.

The trio reportedly accompanied Bada to a herbalist’s residence in the Owode area of the state, where the money ritual was supposed to take place. Fortunately, their plot was foiled when the police intervened and arrested all four individuals involved.

Upon interrogation, Bada confessed to the heinous plan, citing extreme financial hardships as the reason behind his decision. He revealed that he had ten children from three wives and that their living conditions had deteriorated significantly, leaving him unable to provide for them adequately.

In desperation, he believed that resorting to a money ritual using the life of his youngest son, Agbe, would grant him the means to care for the other nine children and improve their living standards.

The arrest of the four men has sent shockwaves throughout the community, with residents expressing shock and dismay at the horrifying scheme. The authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter to ensure that justice is served.
