The clerk of the Edo House of Assembly, Yahaya Omogbai, has been instructed to deliver an impeachment notice to the state’s deputy governor, Philip Shaibu.
The majority leader, Charity Aiguobarueghian, made the announcement of the March 5 petition against Shaibu during Wednesday’s plenary.
According to Aiguobarueghian, 21 of the 24 state assembly members signed the petition.
