The former Manchester United winger, Antony, has reacted to the domestic allegation melted on him by his partner.

Freshreporters media had barely a-day reported that his urges football club to formally sack him after making domestic abuse allegations against him.

The player’s former girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin, a model, alleged that he assaulted her on four occasions, while he has also been accused by two more women in Brazil, Rayssa de Freitas and Ingrid Lana. He has denied any wrongdoing, freshreporters reports.

It could be noted that Brazil have dropped 23-year-old Antony from their national team squad for games against Bolivia and Peru. But his club, United are yet to take any action due to the occurrence.

Cavallin told the newsmen on Sunday, 10th of September, 2023 that the man who joined for £85.5million from Dutch side Ajax in September 2022 and is on a salary of around £150,000 a week, must be axed.

According to her:

‘Antony must be taken off the pitch. It’s disappointing that he’s still allowed to play while an investigation is underway.

‘I’m absolutely devastated by this whole process. How can life go on as normal for him? They can’t know what they know now and do nothing. He has to be suspended.’

On Friday, Antony delivered a tearful interview on Brazilian TV denying the allegations and insisting he will clear his name, as police investigations continue in Manchester and Sao Paulo.

United declined to comment on Thursday night having issued a statement on Wednesday saying that it ‘acknowledges the allegations made against Antony’ and ‘are taking this matter seriously’.

In response to United’s statement, Cavallin, the 22 years old questioned why Manchester United waited three months since she made the allegations in Brazil in June before officially responding.

She added:

‘Why did it take United three months? It’s just not OK. 

‘I prefer not to believe such a huge club, with such serious and professional people, would cover up a situation like this.’

Reacting to the situation, Antony in his statement said,

“I talked to Ingrid on WhatsApp. When she went to Portugal to attend her cousin’s birthday, she asked to come here to Manchester to meet me, with a clear intention of meeting me intimately, including asking me if I preferred red or white lingerie. “

“I bought a ticket and booked a hotel for her. In fact, I met her at the mentioned hotel and we had an intimate and consensual encounter. Although she insisted that we meet again for another intimate encounter, due to scheduling issues I was unable to see her again, as she returned to Brazil. “

“Since then, I have never met her again. All of this that I narrate now is undoubtedly proven in the WhatsApp messages, which I just do not publish in full to preserve the right to privacy. “
