Delta residents raise alarm over vándalized rail track, urge govt intervention

Residents of Agbarho in Delta State have called on the state government and relevant authorities to urgently inspect the local railway track, which has reportedly been vandalized by suspected miscreants.

In a video shared online by a resident identified simply as Bright, it was revealed that bolts and nuts securing the rail track had been removed, posing a significant threat to public safety.

Bright appealed to authorities to investigate the matter without delay in order to avert a possible disaster.

Reacting to the video, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, described the incident as “embarrassing” in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle.

He condemned the act, stressing that there is no justification for endangering thousands of lives for personal and selfish interests.

Edafe wrote:
