Delta Police arrest two men for smòking on patrol van

The Delta State Police Command has apprehended two men seen in a viral video smoking what appeared to be marijuana while sitting on a police patrol vehicle and making lewd gestures toward law enforcement personnel.

The suspects, identified as 34-year-old Patrick Asini and 20-year-old Tega Ojo, were arrested after the footage gained traction on social media platform X.

In the video, originally posted by user #dammiedammie35, one of the suspects is captured sitting atop a police van marked “Nigeria Police Force Anti-Crime Patrol, Oghara Division,” while openly smoking.

Another voice in the background can be heard saying:

“Tell them, f*** the cops, bro. Pass me some weed, man,” while flashing his middle finger towards an officer in the distance.

Both individuals appeared to mock the police in the clip, drawing strong reactions online.

Following the outcry, the Delta State Police Command launched a manhunt, which led to the swift arrest of the duo.

The video, which appeared to be shot at a car wash, quickly attracted the attention of Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, who later confirmed the suspects’ arrest via his official X handle.

Confirming the arrest, Edafe tweeted:

“The two suspects Patrick Junior Asini aged 34yrs and Tega Ojo aged 20yrs on the video have been arrested with the following exhibits found in their possession. Police is your friend, it just depends on how you interpret it.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>>
