Davido’s Billionaire Father, Dr. Adeleke, Publicly Refutes Paternity Claims Against His Son

Billionaire businessman and father of music star Davido, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, has once more responded to longstanding paternity allegations made by a woman identified as Ayo Labinjo, emphatically stating that multiple DNA tests have confirmed his son is not the father of her child.

Dr. Adeleke explained that he could not publicly release Davido’s full DNA profile due to security and legal concerns. “I can’t share David’s DNA profile because if somebody commits a crime tomorrow and the police say this is the DNA profile of the person, that person will go to jail,” he said.

He added that he also could not share the child’s profile because she is a minor and he lacks parental consent.

Recalling the first test, he said the laboratory confirmed Davido was not the father, which left the child’s grandmother deeply upset.

Dr. Adeleke remembered that when Davido first saw the girl, he said, “Daddy, I have never seen this girl before,” but stressed that the DNA results were the only thing that mattered. “If this girl is our child, I am taking her,” he stated, noting that he advised Davido not to speak to the child’s mother to avoid potential harassment.

Dissatisfied with the initial outcome, Dr. Adeleke said he proposed two additional tests and covered accommodation and living expenses for Ayo, her mother, and her daughter, Anu. He claimed Ayo’s mother later left angrily for Ibadan before the further tests could be conducted.

He further revealed that in 2020, the child’s aunt contacted him to revisit the matter, leading to a series of confirmatory DNA tests.

To address speculation that the child might belong to Davido’s cousin, Bred, Dr. Adeleke stated that a total of five tests were carried out—three involving Davido and two involving Bred—all of which returned negative results.

When accusations surfaced that the results had been manipulated, Dr. Adeleke said he compared the findings with the 2015 DNA test of Davido’s daughter, Imade, which showed Davido’s paternity at 99.9%. “The profiles were completely different,” he stated, adding that Ayo’s sister also acknowledged the discrepancy.
