David Adeleke, commonly recognized as Davido, has been honored with the title of an Outstanding Georgia Citizen.

The artist was acknowledged with the accolade during his participation in the Georgia General Assembly meeting alongside the Georgia House of Representatives and Senate last Friday.

Making the announcement through his official X account on Twitter, the singer stated, “This morning I attended the U.S state of Georgia General Assembly meeting with the Georgia House of Representatives and Georgia state senate to be acknowledged as an ‘Outstanding Georgia Citizen’ … God is good.”

Davido is entitled to be identified as a resident of Georgia due to his birthplace. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to Nigerian parents and brought up in Lagos, Nigeria.

Freshreporters News reports that the artist, in a post on X last Friday, disclosed that there are instances when he attires himself like a vagrant while heading to the studio.

Davido assured his fans that they can expect a timeless song whenever he adopts the appearance of a homeless man in the studio.
